New programming cable allows you to plug into the rear of your Uniden Base/Mobile scanner via the DB-9 Serial plug.

Works for the following scanners:

BCT15

BCT15X

BCD996T

BCD996XT

BCD996P2

This cable does NOT work on the BCD536HP

This cable is a much stronger and secure than using the front panel of the above scanners for programming and virtual control. It uses the rear GPS serial port and has an included null-modem adapter built in. When using this cable the GPS functionality would not work.

USB Cable Drivers:
You may need to install software driver for this USB cable, choose which one depending on your operating system listed below. These are included on a CD with the cable. Windows 8.1 and 10 users should be able to plug the cable in and have it recognized right away without installing drivers.

The tiny little proprietary jack on the front was broken not long after I got the remote head which was configured to use it. Both the Remote head and the cable to program the scanner used this dinky little port.

This cable works with the rear port and works perfectly.

How about a cable for the remote head?
