This 800 MHz scanner antenna is 1/4 wave and 4.5" tall and will improve reception at 700, 800 and 900 MHz. It has an SMA connector base for the Uniden Bearcat BCD436HP, BC396T, BCD396XT, BR330T, BC346XT and BCD396XT scanners. Not that reception on other bands will suffer as compared to the standard rubber-duck antenna.

I purchased this antenna for my BCD396XT as I only monitor 800Hhz and occasionally UHF. This antenna works great. It receives 800Mhz and also receives UHF as good as, or even better than the antenna that came with my BCD396XT. It also looks a lot better than the original antenna. The only negative, is the high price. $36.55 with USPS shipping but, Scanner Master did ship promptly. Thanks, Scanner Master.

If you are looking for a great antenna for your handheld scanner with an SMA connector, this is it.

Works great on UHF and 800Mhz scanner bands.
