Basics

Hard leather carrying case for GRE PSR-500 police scanner with law-enforcement style quick release swivel belt clip

This rugged, hard leather, case was designed specifically for the GRE PSR-500 scanner. The product, which is similar to a law-enforcement and fire service two-way radio style case, comes in two parts: A swivel belt clip is attached to your belt. The radio goes into its case separately and then the metal stud on the back of the case locks down onto the swivel belt clip. Once down it is locked into place. To remove the radio from the clip (and your belt) you swivel the radio in its case upside down and pull up. Because of the notch on the case's stud the radio will slide easily up and out of the clip. This way you can easily and quickly remove the radio from your belt but keep the radio in its protective case.

This tough leather protects the scanner from scratches and most drops.

The case is notched at the top sides to facilitate easy removal of the GRE scanner from the case itself. The radio fits snugly into the case, however, for added protection against the radio slipping out, an optional bungee cord is provided that wraps around the base of the rubber duck antenna on the scanner. This cord can be easily removed if so desired. A small hole on the bottom of the case is provided for help, if needed, in pushing the scanner out of the case.

The case also has the requisite holes for attaching a recharging cord and the PC interface cord.
