As other reviewers have said, the antenna is loose at the point where it swivels, so it tends to topple over frequently. Also, when mounted to a Pro-96 and a PSR-500, the connection is not solid inside, so you have to giggle it to get the best reception. Try tuning in, say, a weather frequency and you'll see that sometimes signal is loud and sometimes it's not. I returned and exchanged for a second antenna, and the result was no different with the second unit. I also mounted the antenna onto a BC92XLT scanner, and the connection is much better, and for this radio my reception improved markedly over the stock antenna.

Did not notice a difference on local frequencies, but it preformed worse on distant frequencies than the rubber ducky surprisingly. Also the joint tends to by quite loose so the antenna tends to fall over quite easily.

I use it on my BCD325P2 especially at work where this one police network is about 25 miles away. It picks it up really well And it also picks up a p25 network very clearly. Very well satisfied with the antenna.

Put it on my HomePatrol....increased my local signals and added 3 to 5 miles of overall "good" signal!
