This scanner antenna is perfect for those who want a telescoping antenna option for their Home Patrol as the right-angle SMA connector works perfectly with this radio scanner. Also for those who like to sometimes position their Bearcat 396 and 346 (T and XT) portable scanners lying down or at an angle on the Scanner Master desktop stand, the right-angle telescoping antenna is a great option as well. This antenna will be particularly good for improving VHF (low and high-band) reception but it also does well on UHF and 800 MHz (you can adjust it up or down to optimize it for a particular band). (Note that the SMA connector is detachable so the antenna may also be used with police scanners that utilize a BNC connector.).
