Virtually no amplifying of signal for me.  Very disappointing performance.  While the M75 is built better than the GRE Super Amplifier, it does not outperform the GRE Super Amplifier.  Don't waste your money.

The Jim M75 is a great little amplifier.  I'm using it on two different hand held scanners and it has greatly increased their performance.  I highly recommend this unit, especially  if you live in rural area.

Been using it for about a day now.   Works as advertised.  I love in a Valley and I just barely had reception for the digital trunking system I’m most interested in listening to.  No spot around my house seems to have good reception and as far as line of sight, there are a bunch of Appalachin mountain ridges between them and me.  Plug this baby in and I can even get the signal at my desk!    Because of this unit, I will likely NOT need to mount an antenna externally and may just opt for an attic install.   Works well on top of the scanner as well as inline.

Just received mine and installed in line using LMR 400 Cable.It was the best money I have spent and I have been in the scanner hobby for 35 years. I live out in the country in the rural Virginia mountainside and I am now picking up Chesapeake State Police on STARS over 145 miles away.  I will be buying another one soon.

I have been using one of these for many years. It makes a huge difference on receiving distant stations and gives you the control you need to filter out unwanted signals. Excellent durability! This thing will last a lifetime.
