Swivel Heavy Duty Scanner Belt Clip is overkill for this ill fitting Uniden HP Soft Leather Scanner Case. No internal Padding at all which is another negative. Yes it's real leather but I prefer my nylon Uniden HP Case much better. To each is own but I would not buy this product again.

Home patrol belt clip

I am not using the belt clip as it is too heavy and not suitable for hanging on anything but a full-blown utility tool belt. A few times, I've used it just to protect the scanner when I'm going to be outside, but I doubt it would provide much protection against damage if I dropped it...still any protection is better than none. Would not recommend its purchase, however. Frankly, The Home Patrol's design and weight does not work very well as a belt-mounted radio.
